VTEC FOR THE FIRST TIME

VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!! !!
Today I VTEC'd for the first time. I hit 600 miles on the beautiful PCH in Malibu CA and I pulled over until there was some room and hit the petal. WOW, it sounds amazing!!!! You can really feel it too. I was so psyched. I took a friend with me, he loved it!!!!!!
Negatives:
1) I also had my first 1-2 grind today. I must admit it was CLEARLY driver error, I was so excited to be VTECing that I didn't hit the clutch enough. When I heard that sound on my beautiful baby, I cringed(It sounded so painful) and I will never let that happen again.
2) After VTECing in 3rd gear you are pretty much at risk of getting pulled over no matter where you are. Oh well, just have to watch out for the FUZZ.
ITS LIKE I HAVE A NEW CAR, MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THE FIRST 600 MILES. WOW, I'M IN HEAVEN.

Did the same thing today, slammed the gas from first after a red light, topped it off at 72 miles. Looked around, no one there! I guess everyone else was still at the light. All I have to say is WOW!!!!!!!!

Glad you were finally able to VTEC. I remember talking to you a few days before and how excited you were getting. Welcome to the club.
The surge gets stronger as the car gets more miles on it. I just turned 6,000 miles and noticed a difference in the power.

Man, I also noticed that you eat up soooooo much gas when you drive this puppy hard. Ouch on my wallet, but you take the good with the bad. What can you do I live to VTEC. I find myself doing it constantly, just cause I can.

Congrats MJ!!! I know exactly how you feel. It's such an incredible feeling and man...the SOUND!!!
Just be careful this thing will eat up the road. I just stepped on it a little the other day on the 210 and I looked down and noticed I was doing 100! Didn't even feel it. It was like I was doing 60MPH. Be careful and ENJOY! This car is the BEST, hands down!
