Is it alright to vtec the car several a day, almost everyday? Will I get a lot of excessive wear? Thanks

yes, o.k. to VTEC several times a day every day... in fact, i think this car prefers to be driven at higher rpms

VTEC is a must for me, but yes its a natural thing for the engine. Just imagine racing and keeping it between 6-9k for long periods . . .

Eze, try using edit/delete to fix your original post - you will find it is easier than posting a second time.

Yes, VTECing every day is not an issue. A typical day at the track subjects the Stook to more abuse in 1 day than it would probably get in 12 months of street driving.

I, and a lot of other owners on this forum, track the car at least 3-4 times a year and there are no reports of engine failure due to hard driving.

I VTEC regularly also, no ill effects. In fact she seems to rev easier and produce more power.

Think of it as a Dirt Bike. You don't 'putt putt' around on a CR250. It was/is built to rev to 9000 rpm. Give'er!
