Default VSA and! plus engine light

With these warnings present, I'm unable to rev >2000 rpm. Question is, how can I defeat this issue so I can get it to the shop?

Pages 50 and 128-129 in your 2006 owner's manual. Made any changes to the car? Good, right sized tires and wheels on the car? Does the VSA indicator go out when the ignition is cycled off and back on (VSA defaults to On -- indicator light Off) every time the ignition is turned on.)

VSA works by selectively activating one or two of the car's brakes so any brake problems will affect it..

The car is totally stock but for the cold air intake. When I turn it on there's no warning lights, but once I try to get going the engine and vsa lights come on and it limits me to 2000 rpm.

Just get this car and what's the last thing you did to it? If you just bought it may we assume you test drove it first?

ALL the warning lights should come on when you first turn the key and start the car -- you're saying none do? They should go out no more than a second or two after the car starts.

I bought the vehicle in '06 new. Just need to know if there's a way to disable the warnings that disable the vehicle to 2000 rpm temporarily so I can get it to the shop. I'd rather not have it towed if possible.

So, there's no one out there who has a clue. I've disconnected the - terminal but issue persists. As we all know our cars will still run with vsa disabled; either manually or if there's an issue. My issue is the engine light came on at the same time this issue occurred. So, is there some relation? Is there a work around?

Pretty stark statement for a thread that was posted about 5 hours ago!

You're car seems to be stuck in "Limp Mode" but Honda doesn't call it that in the Service Manual or anywhere else. Recommend you search the forum for it and see what turns up.

You've owned this car for 18 years and left it pure stock? And this happened this afternoon? And you've not done anything to or with the car lately? No strange sounds or feel?

Actually it's been sitting in the garage for a bit over a month now. Figured I'd get on and see if there was anyone out there that could get me moving again. How do I get out of limp mode? Anyone?
