VIS CSL Carbon Fiber Trunk
I have heard that VIS came out with a carbon fiber trunk for the S that is styled after the E46 M3 CSL, and have found a few places selling it, but I have yet to find a picture of it. Has anyone bought one? If so, any pics to share? I am really curious.......

If I had to take a guess, I would say its a knockoff of the Mastergrade/Asuka designs trunk. Do a search for "Asuka" and a pic of their trunk should come up. Gotuningtommy also has this on his car.
But this is all just a guess.

i found what you are talking about, but it's not really what im thinking of.......
the trunk im imagining will look more like this:
its all shaped in one piece.
the mastergrade/asuka trunk looks concave on the main trunk section:
but i appreciate the input! its pretty close.

You do understand that you could be just as 100% incorrect as me, right?
Neither one of us knows and the "CSL" name doesnt mean sh1t.
Hopefully the name is indicative of its design though, as I really would like it.

very true! if there is one thing you can count on in the aftermarket world, its that just because it is "styled" like a particular oem product, it doesnt always mean it actually looks like it! haha
but yes, in this case, i hope it really does resemble the CSL trunklid, cause i think it would be awesome too!

no, the M3 CSL had a specially shaped trunk that curved upward at the end where the third brake light is, sometimes referred to as the "duckbill" shape. the normal M3's trunk had an edge that was as flat as the rest of the trunk, like so:
