On the verge of buying a burgundi s2000: wise color choice?
Hello,
I am on the verge of buying a second hand burgundi s2k from 2007.
Is this a smart color to buy? It seems very rare, so maybe not often sought after ?
What’s your opinion ?
Thanks

I don't think that's a factory color. Red certainly was (New Formula Red...NFR). But if your color is more of a darker, burgundy, then it's been painted, or could it be a wrap?. Buying it or not would come down to overall condition, price, etc. We can't giving buying suggestion just based on color.

Looks good to me! How's the rest of the car? Unmodified I hope.
Sadly we never got Burgundy, AKA Deep Burgundy Metalic, officially on the S2000 in North America. Paint code YR-564M in the door jam sticker. My list shows it released in FRance and ITaly so I guess it was available anywhere on "the Continent." I have no information on model years or numbers for this paint. Google search shows this as a Honda Accord paint color and touch up paint is on Amazon so it may be rare on the S2000 but more common on other Hondas.
I recall seeing a photo of a S2000 in this color and would love to see another!

Not my cup of tea, but I think opinions on the Internet shouldn't affect your taste. Get what you like.
For me, most important part about the car is the previous owner's attitude and condition of the car.

Is that a photo of the car in question? Monza Red Pearl is paint code R-508P. Regardless of the technical paint color/code it looks good to me! (Another color we never got in USA.)
Some Honda paint codes have a hint of their generic color in the code prefix. R (red) in this case, YR (yellow red) in Burgundy. But NH-codes cover the spectrum from Black to Silver to White so no clues there.

I never seen an S2000 in a colour I did not like, you can't go wrong, I think it is a cool colour but the S2000 looks great in any colour. I had one of the most boring colours but it sill looked great.

It just got a new clutch and is completely unmodified.
Burgundi is black most of the time but becomes brown in the sun.
Seems like a nice example to me.
