I read some past posts....has anyone read reviews or currently runs both Venom 400 and a Apexi II Vtec controller in the S now and have some comments......getting Apexi II anyways but since the Apexi controller will be kicking in Vtec around 5400rps(my setting will be at least) or less....and the Venom increasing fuel mapping for more power in the 1000rpms to 5000rpms....that sounds great.............any concerns or questions let me know....thnx

Why run both? The Venom looks (a guess, I have no hands on with it) like it modifies the sensor signal to the ECU, so does the Apexi. I don't see how running both would make your tuning life any easier. You're either going to be have the sensors hit the Venom first, it modifies the signal and then hits the VAFC with a false reading. You then have the VAFC do? what? nothing? Or modify the signal again and then feed the ECU. Or, vice-versa, the sensors hit the VAFC first, it modifies the signal which hits the Venom and it does...?

If you set the VTEC to kick in sooner, how does it effect power in the "normal" VTEC range? What is the down side to setting the VTEC to kick in at a lower Rpm ?

Correct me if i am wrong but you must mess with the fuel curves in the lower rpms to make more power, there is no downside to setting it lower, you must change the fuel curves or else your motor is goin to be making a whole bunch of noise but no power.

Where can I find info about the Venom?
You will not want to lower VTEC too much unless you have an SC or turbo. Anything below 5600 on an NA setup will actually loose power (on a V-AFC anyway).
