Various Musings from the weekend
#1
Well, this was my first topdown weekend of the year and second day period with the car this season.
I drove up to King this week and really took it easy there and back to get all the old gas out of the tank.
Friday I had some friends over and took a couple for a spin and let it hang out a bit. The Mugen exhaust is such a great sounding piece. It almost sounds classy compared to the HKS. The HKS is loud and high pitched. The Mugen is deep sounding and never gets very loud. I also added the JR filter, this makes the VTEC transition much more audible and there is a slightly different intake noise as well.
The Mugen swaybar stiffens up the front end quite a bit. There isn't a push, but you can tell that the backend is much more inline than before.
The filter and exhaust definately add to the quickness of the car. The mid-range is much improved.
I had forgotten just how much people love our cars. Lots of people were asking about it at lights and one guy just asked if it was as much fun as it looked.
I was getting gas and a "modded" Focus hatchback came revving around my car and looking it over. He went to the other side of the station to get gas, when I finished I, of course, had to return the favor and drove by him revving the engine and he started yelling that he would beat my ass in a race. I just laughed at him and drove off.
Ran into a silver S2000 on Rt. 47 today while out for a drive with a friend. Anyone here?? We exchanged waves.
That's all for now
See you in Asheville.
