I wish i could say i can feel your pain but i would be lying. Pain like this is only felt by the owner.
The thought of this has kept me from enjoying many nights out this summer. No matter if i park it in a secure lot or not. I am damn nervous.
I find vandalism to be among the lowest forms of human behaviour. I would rather someone steals something of the car then vandalises it, since at least he is stealing for a reason. Vandalism gains him/her nothing.

AusS2000,
I'm really sorry to hear what happened to your car. I'm from Sydney aswell and I think I know the car park where it happened. I had a similar incident and it could have happened in the same carpark !!. The 2nd day I had my car I was parked there and when I returned someone had badged (removed) the drivers side S2000 badge, they scratched the hell out of it trying to get it off and kicked my drivers door in just for good measure. I think I was luckier than you though, as thankfully they didn't touch my roof.
I hope you will be reunited with your S2000 soon.
P.S. I think the plates will look cool !!!!

It's the 'Secure Parking' lot at the end of Darling Island Rd. You pass the casino heading NW and take a right at the roundabout. Is that the same one?
I'll be talking to the company shortly about it. I know they have an "All care, no responsibility" policy, but I'm not sure if having their guard's mates hanging around and asking questions like "How much does your car cost" constitute "care".
The car went in for repairs today.

Those are some sick bastards and there isn't anything we can do against vadalism, so we take it on the chin and mark it up to experience.

That's the same one, I can't believe it, I tried contacting them, but all I got the was the 'all care no responsbility line' But you might have a point, staff shouldn't have their mates hanging around asking questions that they might not like the answers to..
Good luck and I'll keep an eye out for your new plates on the road !!
p.s. How long are the repairs going to take ??

I'll mention your little incident to them tomorrow.
The completion date is supposed to be the 22nd, althoug I think the hold up is the roof so I may be able to get it back earlier and go back for the roof at a later date.
I've also got to take it in for the seatbelt recall so it's going to have a lot of shop tuime over the next month.
