what mods do you have done?
At the time, it was AEM V1 CAI, Rick's header, test pipe, and RM Racing exhaust.

Does anyone have any proof that the stock ECU counters the VAFC's settings? I've heard that the VAFC's settings eventually are over-ridden, but never read any well-documented answer on this.

I have heard this as well, but I have never seen any proof of it. Someone would have to run on the same dyno a few weeks/ month later when the temp. and humidity were the same and have driven a significant amount of miles. Then compare the two results.

I've heard about this too but it just doesnt make any sense to me. If the VAFC is altering the signals the ecu is seeing, how will it ever know to change any of its values to unlearn what the VAFC is sending it? As far as it is concerned, everything it sees is correct, all is right with the world. I don't see how it would even try to change anything.

Everyone is talking about gain, the MAIN strength of VAFC is not peak gain, most people use it to smooth out the peaky power band.
