Its especially worth it on a '00-01 car...their fuel maps were very rich and will see the most gains from a VAFC. Remember that a VAFC is only as good as its tuner. Get a recommendation for a good tuner in your area.

Yes, the ECU will re-learn partial throttle settings. Reset the ECU just before you tune, then reset it once a week after the tune is complete. This will put the ECU back to your original corrections. The reset is easy. Pull one fuse under the dash for 30 sec. Takes less than a minute to do.

ok thanks all! One last thing, will these vafc controllers make my gas mileage even more worse? Alot or not so much?

Well, if the tuner is leaning the car out. They are taking fuel away which should make the car run more efficiently. On the other hand you are more likely to keep your foot in the pedal decreasing gas mileage.

Good power can be made with the 00-01 @ WOT. Due to the rich setting honda had on the ealier ECU's

02 and up not so much.

the computer learning itself, is true IF tuned for partial throttle, not WOT (where you gain most of the power anyways)

WOT tuning= no computer reset weekly
Patial throttle tuning= computer reset (so often)
