Well I am at the track right now and she is running pretty damn good. No issues as of yet and she seems to handle a lot like my stock S. I hit about 130 on the front straight and have take some 80+mph corners and it feels good. I also had the car weighed with me in it real quick and she came in at 2910 so if I take me out she should be around 2750-2760 I will be weighing her again tomorrow with me out of the car to get a better corner balance and more accurate weight so I will post that up along with a scanned copy of my weight slip and hopefully some more track pics.
This was at Roebling Road? Were you just getting used to the new feel of the car b/c 130 on the front straight isn't really that fast. I'm able to hit 126-127 in my stock S2000, and could probably get another 2-3mph higher if I wasn't hitting the rev limiter in 5th gear.

Based on the speeds I know other cars have hit I'd figure you'd be closer to 150 at the end of the straight.

Do you think with a reasonably stock LS1, even in a 2800# car he'd hit 150+? A stock LS1 is ~290-295rwhp, with some good airflow mods (intake, headers, exhaust) plus a good tune maybe in the ~330rwhp range.

I didn't see if he said he was running R comps. I guess with the LS1/S2K combo and some sticky tires carrying a ton of speed out of #9 he'd be close to 140.

Speaking of headers: did the car ever get any custom work done in that area, or is it still on stock LS1 exhaust manifolds?

The crazy thing is, a set of P&Ped LS6 heads and a stout cam, or even an aftermarket head and this thing could be in the 430-440rwhp range pretty easily.

Did you use the closed backing (Waterproof)? I've found it gives a better audio quality at high speeds, although you'll always have wind noise. Actually, having the camera shooting on the inside of the windshield woudl have been better. I believe GoPro has a "Shoot upside down" feature that would allow you to rig the shot quite easily.

Glad to see you're out enjoying the build the way god intended it
no we didn't use that back we were trading it between 4 cars and some were on the inside but the new HD version doesn't let you do upsidedown video yet so to mount it inside the camera took up to much viewing room.

I was only there to do shakedown on the car and to see if it was going to have any issues. Yes 130 is not to fast there but an instructor in a stock Z06 on NT05's can only hit about 145-150 I know this for a fact (I was in the car at the time) so 130 mph for just a shakedown is ok with me. I was on R comps because thats what I have on my old stock AP1 wheels for trackdays. As far as engine mods its all stock ex. manifolds and all.
