What a disgrace to honda, I hate seeing shit like this... engine weight? how about drive train weight compared to stock?

But

Your car, your hard work, props to your for the creativity and ingenuity.

Oh one more thing I am slightly curious about numbnuts saying the front end will fall apart? I really question where people get their mechanical insight these days, god damned ricer forums.

Awesome project; good for you! Don't let any negative comments derail you. Anyone can post whatever on the Web. There's no quiz to become a member here.

Very exciting what you've done and can't wait to see the final summary and review.

I would've used a Jaguar AJV8... Eveyone has opinion....

This makes me wonder how a Buick 3.8L Turbo would do. That is one of my favorite all time engines. I owned a 1989 Turbo TA with only 25k miles on it before my S. Talk about totally different cars.

Tried and true engine from Jaguar (& Lincoln and some Aston's). 4.2 V8 and can get with factory supercharger for 410 hp. 300 hp NA. Has all the bells & whistles of modern engine design and you can get one really cheap from a parted out car.

I believe they are all aluminum too.

I considered a Grand National engine for my Z. the problem was the power range was too short. 3800 to 5500 rpm not really built for a manual tranny.

Let me see if I can convince you to reconsider, by shareing a little story about a time when I found myself making similar judgements?

For me, it was back in the early 60's. There was this really cool British Roadster called the Ace. It has a fairly large four banger, an aluminum body for low weight, and a typically British Roadster "rock hard" suspension. They were great little cars, but weren't exported to the US, and were beyond my reach price wise, so all I could do was dream about owning one some day. Then one day I learned that some silly fool in Texas had bought a few of the wonderful little cars, and shoved Ford 260 V8-s in the darn things, obviously totally missing the entire point of the cars, and runing them entirely. Then within just a matter of years, that moron from Texas went from the 260 V8, to the 289 V8, and then the 427/428/429 big-blocks including a few Ace's with the all out 427 side oilers with boost. To get the car to handle, the fool just kept going to bigger wheels and tires, until he had enough rubber on the ground to have some control over all the power, but of courses the nose heavy monster he'd created was nowhere near the car the Ace had been. I'm sure glad he didn't call his cars Ace, beasue it would have been an insult to the kind of car the Ace represented. Thank goodness that dumb old Texan picked anouther name. "Cobra." Prof that only an idiot would run a perfectly good small roadster by shoving in a big V8.

Exactly. The f20c is a magnificent motor, but it's just a motor, and the S2000 is just a car. I love the S in stock form and appreciate what it is built for, but when i see a v8 in one I get this huge grin. I can't wait to see this thing run. I'd love to hear an S 8-stroking!
