That would be VTEC not V-TEC.....600 miles is fine for initial engagement, Honda engineering says so. So to the DOPE with 700 miles and no VTEC smile..what are you waiting for....dope?

I finally floored the gas pedal this evening and shifted at 5999 rpm... WOW! what a big difference. j/k.
i shifted closed to 9k rpm.... and WOW! the VTEC feels like a mild turbo.

I you ever see the movie The Blues Brothers, watch when they go in to the Ramada to pick up the rest of the band. The keyboardist is singing Kwando, Kwando, Kwando. I've used that for mic checks ever since

This is my second s2000, the first one I didn't VTEC until 1000 miles. I varied the shift points by the thousands from 600. 6RPM at 600, and on. Anyways this second one i got 615 or so miles and when i vtec'ed her, my friend who was behind me in the celica told me there was so much smoke coming from the pipes he barely saw the car....(cuz i was far ahead from him) but then after that, the smoke lessened and now it's not even there....But i must say the Celica GTS has the most noticeable change-over...
