Default Used Headers

I wanted to to get some opinions on used headers? Are they good or bad or would i just be better off buying some new headers. Im intrested in the Spoon 4-2-1 headers. Thanks, Alex

The general consensus on here is that DC sports doesn't gain any power and may possibly lose power. I have yet to find any real good info showing that however. Feel free to give this a read as well. Has some good info on aftermarket headers.

The spoon header doesn't seem to fair to well on there though. I would probably look into the Berk or Ricks header. They don't cost a fortune and seem to yield some gains, IMO of course

Rick's or Berk would be best gain for the $$. Otherwise J's or Mugen would be my second choice if $$ wasn't an issue.

As long as it is in good shape your good to go with used ask questions before you buy

Hey Puddy- How is the wrap treating you on the Megan Header- have you checked to see if it was still in good shape after being wrapped. I am debating on wrapping my header since the heatsheilds are gone. I have a homemade vented hood but I still seem to get a little heatsoak from the header itself. Thanks

DC header for the S2K is poor. I don't know if there is any hard evidence that it loses power, but there is certainly evidence that it doesn't gain you any power. It's only good for weight loss, so if you get one free, install it.. otherwise, save money for a header with better design.
