US News S2000 Ranking of Best Cars
I haven't seen this posted yet. US News & World Report came out with their ranking of the Best Cars and Trucks. They ranked the 2007 S2000 3rd out of 10 in the category of Affordable Sports Cars, and 2nd out of 4 in the category of Affordable 2-seat Convertibles.
US News & World Report S2000 Review
What's really interesting is when they list the pros and cons. The #1 con, or disadvantage of the S2000 is the stiff suspension!
Of course, the rankings are subjective. The review is actually pretty good other than the obvious bias towards a car that would be comfortable to an overweight, middle aged journalist.

So, U.S. News and World Report ranked automobiles based on what other magazines said about them.
And the new information provided to us is... ?
This is a pretty weak substitute for actual research and reporting. As much as I love my S2000, I can't take this sort of journalistic short cutting seriously.

Will someone go shoot whomever wrote the review. They rated the 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata #1. I wouldn't mind be #2 if the 350Z was #1, but Miata isn't even in performance catagory as the 350Z and S2000.

These people were not rating the S2000 on its performance. They merely rated it on comfort for daily commute. That's why the Miata is #1.
Get a Corolla if you want comfort.
I feel insulted by these morons.

Ok, after reading the review, I lost complete respect for US News and World Report.
Anyone who needs to use "assert" that many times cannot be a well-accomplished writer...

Besides, no one buys the S for the daily commute. You buy the S for the performance on the weekends, just so happens that you love driving the car enough to make a DD...
