Default upshifting

I am trying to be more smooth in upshifting. I am getting faster but when I am granny shifting, the revs fall too much and if I don't rev match and ease out the cluth, the rpm will take a jump when I let out the cluth and it doesn't feel smooth.

Once you have up shifted to the next gear, do you gradually release the clutch and give her a bit of gas at the same time or just drop the clutch out with gas or with no gas.

I personally do not feel there's any need to use the accelerator to rev-match a upshift on the S2000. IMHO its very easy to upshift smoothly just by letting the revs fall and you don't even have to be quick to do it.

Downshifting on the other hand requires a bit more footwork...

BTW excuse my ignorance, but what is "granny shifting"? Shifting slowly?

yes, granny shifting is shifting slowly, more like cruising mode. I am hampered a bit when I shift from 2nd to 3rd since I have to pause a bit inorder not to get a "gitch" or notch that a lot of us S owners suffers from.
