I just called State Farm. They won't insure any car that has gone without insurance for more than 30 days. The conspiracy continues.

Wes,

That's pretty messed up. I wonder if my insurance agent can help you out. He's always found me great deals. PM me for his number. I can talk to him about your situation if you'd like.

I got a decent Progressive quote and went with it. It's cheaper than I was paying with Geico, but not as cheap as I think I can get. In 6 months I'll re-assess...I just need insurance for now.

OK Wes. If you need some help in 6 months, my agent might be able to come up with a better deal. Just let me know.

There is no way to get insurance for modern car that is modified, that's what I learned, so that is now not an issue any more. The insurance I got, is normal insurance. I will have to wait 6 months to try to get cheaper insurance. The fact that I had the car uninsured for over 30 days played a big factor in getting decent insurance.

If the car is stolen, just tell them all those parts were in the trunk. Then they will be covered by your homeowners policy.

Hey, what's going on? Someone logged in with my name and typed up that horrible advice. I certainly wouldn't do that. Now where do I find that angelic smilie with the halo ...
