Default update on ABS light issue and question on idling

For those who remember, ABS light have come on several times when i cold-start the car. The light would come on in the morning, or late at night, and stay on, till i drive around and restart the car. I finally brought the car to the dealer, guess what ? They told me there is no code registered~. Is that possible? The light staying on and reading no code ?

We left the car running, since the light usually goes away if i restart the car. The car was just sitting there idling till the technician came, for about 30 min. I heard that idling for too long is not good for the car? Anyone care to explain to me why?

Also, if any of you have any insight on my ABS light issue, i will appreciate it.

i have a very similar problem like yours and i took it to the dealer while the ABS light was on. then they found out that the rear speed sensor and a shaft needs to be replaced. i don't know exactly the parts that needs to be replaced because they have not gotten the parts yet. i will know in a couple days.

Sounds like an intermittent speed sensor problem. Others have had a similar problem.

I wouldn't say it's "good" to let your car idle for more than a couple minutes, but I wouldn't say it's "bad" either. You're mostly just wasting gas.
