Unique water leak into trunk
I have no leak when the car is parked on a level surface.
But if is parked engine-up trunk-down on a slight slope in my driveway, there is a leak.
I've traced it to the area under the soft-top close to the drain but can't pinpoint the source of the leak.
Anyone else run into this problem?

Here is a little more detail.
I had the roof replaced by a shop that was highly recommended to me by 2 body shops. There was no trunk leak with the original roof.
The leak developed about a year after the roof was replaced.
The guy is well-known for tracing down leaks and he spent 10 days trying to fix it but couldn't.
He checked and re-sealed the exhaust box at the rear of the trunk, checked the seals around the taillights, and even sealed a small leak where the gas cap cover locks.
He cleared the drain pipes that let water out the bottom just in front of the rear wheels.
When the car is parked on the level in my garage, both drains work. No water accumulates in the bottom of the trunk when I put water into the channel where the soft-top meets the trunk lid.
But when I park the car "trunk side low" on a slight slope in my driveway and put water into the passenger side of the channel, all of it runs out the passenger side drain and none into the trunk.
But putting water into the driver side, it seems to drain until a point where I can see it running down the vertical steel panel in the top left and settling into the lowest level of the trunk at the same time as it is running out the drain.
Starchland - if by the rear tray (I'm not exactly sure where that is) you mean the area in the middle of the channel, I'm not getting any water there.
Chuck - it is in my garage in the summer and I store it in the winters here in Cleveland.

Partial drain block could act like yours or a partially detached drain hose or from a hole punched in the hose by the tool (bent coat hanger) used to clear it. My trunk has been absolutely dry both before and after the roof replacement (by a S2000 roof specialist how's probably done 100s) but I gotta admit I've not tested it with the front substantially higher than the front -- nor do I intend to, not pushing my luck. Dry verified moments ago.
Please let us know the solution when you find it.
In 44147 I garaged the S2000 November - April on my little lift to keep it out of the salt slush the other cars bring in. Under cover Battery tender. Suspended the liabilitry insurance for those months too. Here in 23832 she's garaged and typically run roof down in January. One issue we have down here with parking outdoors is pine pollen (hence my parking question) which puts a thick dust on everything and will turn to mud and clog drains like these. When I hear the water sloshing in the doors of my poor, outdoor parked Expedition I know it's time to unplug the drains in the bottom edge of the doors.

Back in 2009 I had the same problem after my soft top was replaced under warranty. The shop that replaced the top had one of the clips fall into the drain plug on the driver side. It took many times to the dealership and even they could not replicate it. It wasnt until I had an independent shop yank the interior parts and they found a tiny clip leading to overflow with constant hose pressure.

I'll throw this out there . My 01 had a leak similar to this . It turned out to be leaking behind the fuel door toward the front of the car . The panel(box) is glued/sealed to the quarter . I used soapy water and compressed air to locate the leak . Simply open the fuel door and spray it all around in there with the soapy water . Then use compressed air to blow from inside the trunk around the fuel fill pipe . I did have the trunk carpet out though which helped . At first i thought it was the hinges for the fuel door leaking but quickly discovered it was the sealant that was poorly applied from the factory . I resealed it and never had a leak from it again . It was a frustrating leak to find . Give it a shot .

Thanks, Starchland. Part of the problem is that I really can't tell where the water is collecting. All I can see is that there is an overflow somewhere near the upper left area of the trunk and it streams along the side down to the bottom of the trunk.
