Why do people post "I'm selling the car that I hate" threads on an enthusiast board? I mean...what is the point? Just sell it and be done with it. What do folks expect to gain from doing so? It rings with "I'm going out but not without a quick stab at the car the rest of you love."
It's not a Corvette. Why it took 3500 miles, or better yet...more than one test drive, to realize that is beyond me.

Ok....notice in my sig the hatchback? Yeah, thats my 13 sec NA B Series mostly stock beater (which conicidently beats S's with minor bolt ons no prob) , so all this "you didn't drive it to its potential BS is just that.
Man, you are an awesome driver!!!! I mean, do be able to shift into 4 gears, while keeping the car straight, is an unbelievable acheivement....

Dude, stop crying and sell the car. I usually don't act like this to other board members, but your attitude sucks, and you whine like your 15.

I know where VTEC motors make power and my minimal VTEC's are a result of an extended break-in time and my lack of thrill from S2000s VTEC.

You love this car for what it is. Convertible. High-revving. Hard Cornering. Rare. Good Looking.
Personally, I'd rather hang corners than drag. So the S2K sounds like a good bet.
All I know is when I look at one, I can't take my eyes off it. When I ride in one, I don't want the ride to end.
So I'll accept the 1 sec or whatever of "inadequate torque" for everything else.
Corvette Z06 is bad ass, no doubt. Fast and sexy, to be sure. And a Torque Monsta. But it's a Chevy, so it'll depreciate and break down faster than the Honda (don't kid yourself on that one), plus you'll pay an extra $20k for it.
So maybe I've explained why I prefer an S2K over a Z06 for my situation. Your situation is obviously different.

Go with the vette and be happy. Not sure the reason for your post, or what type of response you expected here, but i'll throw in my 2 pennies since you dumped your crap on the table for all to see. You bought the car for two of the worst reasons: exclusive car, lots of low end power.

in your driveway is one of the most rewarding vehicles you can own if you could appreciate its spirit. i don't think you can. have fun with your vette, its a hellava great machine.

This line alone proves you have NO idea what you are talking about.

Man, you boys are harsh.

I say that if the car isn't for him, so be it. I'd rather have the car in the hands of someone who appreciates the car for what it is.

I'm not slamming the original poster at all. I honestly think this little gem isn't for everyone. In fact, I think that its really only for a very small minority of enthusiasts who cherish balance, precision, and feel over outright power.

Hmmm...bad clutch, sketchy tranny, slow (sounds like engine problems). That's a lot of money in repairs for a potential buyer.

I'll offer $12,000 and I'll even fly to NY and pick it up if you accept...

I agree with Da Hapa and that was the message I was trying to send. Do what you want.
