Uneven Exhaust Tips
Anyone else's exhuast tips uneven? I measured mine and the passenger side tip is .25" lower than the drivers side. Can this be fixed? It's not THAT noticable but now I know it is, it's aggrevating me.

you know what, my fiancee mentioned that my tips looked uneven as we were driving behind the car when my bro was driving it. i doubt I'll mess with them though. Doesn't aggrevate me that much. yet. heheheh

i "curbed" mine (power slid and ended up with right rear at the curb)- bent the exhaust on the curb, and then bent them back by hand... still cant get them completely back to normal, but i was able to bend them- they bend easier when hot (of course you need a good heat protection on your hands). not sure how much they will bend before breaking, but i doubt that you can break them by hand bending. i imagine that you can hand bend a .25" problem.

As measured from???? The ground?? The bumper???
Is the car level or is the right side lower than the left when measuring at the top of the wheel arch?
Could be the hanger on the drivers side is twisted and raising the left side?
A floor jack under the correct place and a broom handle in the pipe has been used many many times to make things "look" normal.

If you look hard, all S2000's with STOCK exhaust are a little uneven. The passenger side tip it slightly lower. It's been like this on every stock S2000 I've seen, but most people don't notice.

A 1/4" is not a big deal unless the tips are very close to the bumper, then you can tell. Don't try this unless you are a handy kinda guy.
It is easier to lower the one that is too high than it is to raise the one that is too low. Take a good size pry bar, go under the high one, and bent the rear hanger down slightly.

I don't know. Maybe I'll just leave it alone. The wife didn't even notice it. I think you're right Jason b/c I was looking at a brand new one on the show room this morning and they even looked uneven.
