UK S2000
Hi guys,
just wanted to clear something up. I own a post-2006 Honda S2000 (UK Spec) is this effectively an AP1 with the AP2 upgrades i.e. Is it essentially an AP2 with the AP1 (F20C) Engine.
Forgive the ignorance I just appear to have getting myself confused when reading various UK and American threads with regards to AP1s and AP2s just trying to understand the main differences.
Thanks.

In the UK, the S2000 maintains the F20C engine for all years. They never got the F22C with the 8k redline. Hence the confusion with the AP1/AP2 moniker.

I believe you did get the AP2 upgrades minus the AP2 engine. I didn't get a chance to read through all of this though:

The S2K's in the UK are the same as the ones in Australia and Japan.
ie; all the upgraded stuff in the AP2, except the F22C motor. Suspension, gearbox syncros, Dif Housing, wheels, lights and bumpers, interior changes... etc.
F22C was made especially for the US market.

I suppose my next question is then.....which flywheel do we have in the UK the AP1 (approx 14 ibs)or the AP2 (Approx 21 ibs).
The reason i ask is because i am looking for a lightened flywheel but for daily driving, so nothing too serious, if we have the AP2 flywheel then i could possibly change it for an AP1.
If this is not the case can someone suggest a lightened flywheel please; however i would like to stress the car is used for daily driving.
Much appreciated.

We simply call the 'AP2' versions the facelift, as that is effectively what they are. There are no AP2's in the UK.
I think your question is answered in the UK section, the flywheel is the standard F20C one. The heavier flywheel was fitted to the 2.2 engines.
