Default twisted my shiftknob too hard

ok so i was trying to twist my shift knob off totally forgetting that there was a retaining nut on the bottom. so i kept twisting pretty hard then gave up. now my shift knob has a little jiggle to it when i twist it lightly and its kinda annoying. can anyone tell me how i can tighten up the shift knob? thanks

Did you try to tighten the nut against the bottom of the shift knob?

Otherwise, I took the nut completely off of mine and just twisted the knob until tight. Lined up straight, sits a little lower and doesn't rattle.
