Okay, so I know you can turn on the radio with the button on the left hand column of the steering wheel. When you press it again the mode changes from FM1 to FM2 to CD and so forth. But How the hell do you turn the damn thing off? Everytime I need to turn the radio off I have to pull down the radio cover and hit the power button on the radio. Don't tell me this is the only way to turn off the radio. Is it?? Thanks fellow Stookers...

Why turn it off. I always leave the radio and the fan on. No sense in excess wear and tear on the switches.

why do you have to turn the radio off?

if you want to hear that sweet engine sound, just mute it - that's what I do.

I was actually reffering to when I turn off the car. I've gotten into a habit of turning accessories off when I turn the vehicle off. So, is what your saying, Just leave it on and turn off the car?

I've never turned the radio off, just turn down the volume before shutting it off (keep from blasting your ears and straining the speakers) or hitting the mute for the occasional drive-thru.

The only way to turn off the radio is with the power switch on the volume control at the head unit.

I hate to make such a big deal about nothing (but I will) but why would they allow you to turn the radio on without taking your hand off the wheel but not turn it off. Just a little annoying, I guess.
