Default Turbocharging... Need info!

Well, I'm just about to embark on my journey to turbocharge my S2K and I have a few questions. Here goes:

1) Has anyone ever heard anything about or used a shop called Inline Performance in Springfield, VA??
2) I'm planning on doing the following:
a) JE Pistons (9.5:1 compression)
b) Metal head gasket
c) Intercoler
d) Intake and exhaust manifold
e) Misc. piping / blow off valve
f) V-AFC

Anything else I'm not thinking of? Any ideas where to get these things or which are best? Also, any other shops in my area that anyone knows about? One last thing... why can't I post pictures??

Yeah, do a search...also, check out "Under The Hood".

The first question I have, why in the world would you lower the compression via pistons AND a head gasket?

I also recommend going with larger injectors and a real fuel management system (engine management). Don't just go with the bare minimum, because you'll end up redoing your system 6 months later...like most of the turbo guys are doing now. Get a turbo that can grow with you. If you boost more than, say, 10-12 PSI (on 9.5 pistons) you'll need to build your engine.

Yeah, I agree... fuel management is also key. I had to upsize my injectors in my old MR2T and mod the fuel rail once I upped the boost. As for the combination of the head gasket AND the pistons... metal head gaskets hold up better from what I'm told under boost. I'm not adding it to lower the compression more. What is the best fuel management system out there? AEM? HKS?

well when upgrading turbos in supras u would do everything you listed plus fuel system mas air flow control (VPC), clutch, i would also lighten the fly wheel this way your motor will rev much faster then your turbo will spoll quicker. i didnt see it in your list but a boost controler, i would higly recomend beefing up the cooling system if possiable for the s2000 like bigger radiator a big oil cooler because the oil flows through the turbo then u will have a nice cool turbo. sorry if im listing things you already know. turbo timer so you dont blow ur turbo, a heat shield so you dont fry your hood. if i were you i would goto www.mvpmotorsports.com they sell stuff for the s2k and turbo kits for hondas ask to talk to dusty he so a extremely smart guy with supras, turbos and anything aftermarket his daily driver with a 1xx,xxx miles is a 800hp supra i would highly recomend giving him a call and he could probably recomend a good shop.

sorry for the long respons lol

A guy in this thread, https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=60642 , claims Honda has already turbo'd our engine and it's in a PWC. If true, I would think you might be able to learn a thing or two from what Honda has already done.

Thanks for the input. I'll keep all posted as things progress. Probably won't go full force until after my wedding... (Sept 1st) My other half may have a thing or two to say about it!

Your only option is SPEEDCRAFT TURBO KIT right now.
There are a couple of board members with this kit.
ChrisD has it and Derryk has it I think.

You might wanna PM those guys for their input.
