Default Tuning s2000's

When you take your s2k for tuning, what do they use to acutally get "into" the car? Do you need some kinda fuel management for them to actually make changes to the car? I ask because i recently got a comptech SC installed and wanna have it tuned to run optimally. The only adjustment point on my setup is the comptech fuel presure regulator.

would having a AEM VFAC or something like that make for a 'better' tune?

Other than tweaking the fuel pressure unit, you can't really "tune" a stock Comptech S/Cd engine.
You need a "piggy back" ECU (VAFC, emanage) or a complete stand alone ECU (AEM) in order to do any tuning. These units have buttons and knobs and switches that can be used to change various engine parameters.

next question:

Anyone here with a comptech or vortech get noticable gains with a standalone or piggyback ECU? Would you consider it worth it?
