TSB-83: Leaky Air Conditioner - - - Your Experience
For the first time in almost two years of ownership, my S has shown a leak in the passenger compartment. It was a particularly hot and humid summer in New York, which I am sure, explains the emergence of the problem.
My dilemma is whether or not to have TSB-83 done. I am not overly concerned with the occasional leak on my wife's feet . . . I'll buy her new shoes (j/k). My concern is over the potential for corrosion of the passenger compartment floor from the leak.
Has anyone had this particular TSB done? If yes, were you satisfied with your A/C after the repair. I realize that this is somewhat dependent on the dealer provided service.
Any opinions on the chances for corrosion of the floor from an occasional leak? I have factory floor mats, which I'm hoping will block most of the water from reaching the carpet/floorpan.
Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Regards,
Michael

I actually have had water drip on my feet during a hard right turn. BTW it was in SC and humid as hell that night. I am leary of having the AC worked on for such a small issue

I experienced that as well and I'm also debating doing the fix. Feedback on how the fix went would be appreciated.
