I could give 3 shits about someone whos got a 2000 dollar carbon fiber intake plastic piece thing. I posted what I did soo maybe some people will think about why they chose an s and what it means to them...is it really all about the crazy mods and half the stupid shit we buy to make it faster or better...maybe...
This site is about the car, and what the car is. not about shitting on other people...I could care less, what people say. Its just sad, I was with a fellow ap1 owner a few weeks ago, and a kid driving by yelled to the guy next to me nice car. The kid than asked what kinda car is that...he than followed it up with "that shits slammed" or something along those lines. I feel that's how people are getting to on here. My car is more slammed or my wheels are flush better than yours. Some people do have goals, as someone stated above, clearly if its not in with the trend, its not right. It seems like its turned into more of I know more than you, but much respect to the elders and the guys who are truly on here to help.

Had me at "as far as the s2k", and lost me at "potential to be the one of the best drift machines". There are many other cars that are more suited to the task. That being said, each to their own.

If you are seeking advice from a 'elder', I would start off with a build thread written in proper English.

so your first post is a long rant on what you used to do and such, then your second post finally gets to what you're trying to say.

so, you think going with an s2000 over a miata is smart? well, that depends on your definition of smart.

it just seems like, you think your friend is stupid and you're smart, hence you want him to abandon HIS PLAN and go with YOUR PLAN FOR HIM.

your friend can spend HIS money ANY WAY HE WANTS. get over it.

Aaaaahhhhh...WTF?

LOL! Dude, don't do drugs and type. Bad combo. You end up with a stream of consciousness missive that causes people to become hypnotized and fall asleep.

Do what you want, let your friend do what he wants. The people on this site embrace this car for what it is, and don't try to fantasize about what it isn't. Could you make it drift? yes. However to turn an S2000 into a drifter takes away a lot of what makes it special. This car is know for its grip, yes it's also known for being tailhappy but also unpredictable when doing so. What does that tell me? It tells me the car was designed to grip, not slide.

But at the end of the day, who's car is it? I love my car, and yes, I do have upgrades planed, but I'm building it the way I like it. Anyone that doesn't like it can bugger off.

Different strokes for different blokes.
