Trunk v. laptop

lately theres been a lot of threads regarding trunk heat...i know it does get warm...anyone care to actually measure the temperature?

ill do it if i find the time.

Me too IF I remember; have a decent analog thermometer that I usually leave in a back corner of the fridge, I think the range is up to 200 degrees or so -- if it's pegged when I check, THEN I'll be worried. Sadly, my usual local drives are quite short.

Passenger seat back pocket?
Maybe driver seat back pocket... passengers tend to try and maximize legroom on long S2000 drives...

Most laptops these days are pretty tough, this isn't 1994 anymore. I've driven 15 hours straight, Atlanta - Houston with my macbook sleeping in my backpack. That backpack was in my stripped out trunk and this was the middle of July. The computer was fine.
