A friend of mine told me that the Yellow S2000s sold in Canada, came with the OEM Hardtop at no charge from Honda?
true or false?

Never heard anything even hinting of that, if it is true though I'd be pissed.

Your somewhat right. In Canada, Spa Yellow was only offered in 2001, and it was labeled "Special Edition". You had to pay a mark up, and the hardtop was not optional, it came with it. So basically they slapped the hardtop on as well, and called it a SE and you paid a premium for it.

I can see it being true for the left overs MY03 Spa because of discontinued Spas in 04. They might need to get rid of the Spa HT to make room for Rio HTs. Just speculations...

Wasn't the "GT" version also offered in Canada? My understanding it's basically an S2000 + hardtop together for the same price as getting them separate. Or am I thinking the UK? Nevermind, that's the UK.

Guys, don't be pissed. S2k4mee is correct. For one model year, the Spa could only be purchased with a hardtop AND most of the stuff you would buy as options. No, we did not get the HT and the other stuff for free. The MSRP for that car was noticeably higher - almost by as much as if you were to buy all the bits separately, but not quite (package deal). VTEXTC here bought such a car.
