Is it true that if you install..
Is it true that if you install aftermarket alarm (non honda dealer installed) honda wont waranty the electricals on your s2000. I was told by my dealer about this and I didnt want to use honda alarm.

Federal law states that a manufacturer can not void a warranty unless they prove that a part or modification not performed by them caused the defect. So, if you install an aftermarket alarm and your electrical system goes to poop, they must provide evidence that your alarm was the cause of the problem.

I don't have the panic button strip, but think that if I hold down the arming button it will work the same.

Ok, Dave Z, it sounds like you would probably have an Excalibur AL-100 on your car and it is pretty cheap but the good news is that it can be removed quite easily without too much trouble I believe depending on how it was installed. The least being, you could disable it if you wanted.
