Transmission may have blown
The Dyno guy was hard launching my car trying to set the 2 step and something broke. From the sound of it I thought it was the diff. I just pulled the axles and driveshaft and the diff turns smooth as silk both from the axle sides and the driveshaft side, and it’s smooth rotating forward or backwards.
When I was waiting to have the car towed from the Dyno place I did let the clutch out and it made a crunching spinning sound. I’m guessing that the tranny blew. Hers the thing I can’t figure out:
With the car on the jackstands and the driveshaft off I ran the car and put it through all the gears. There’s no crunching noise and I can see the front half of the driveshaft rotating when I let out the clutch?
Thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. I was so convinced it was the differential i pulled apart before I realized the differential might just be fine. In the next couple days I’ll put the axles and driveshaft back in and do what you are recommending.
Thanks again for the reply, Jonn

For those who search this topic in the future I wanted to follow up.
NOT the tranny, not the diff, not the clutch.
It was this:
was the axle. if you put your car in gear and it grinds in every single gear the rest of the position of the wheels it will likely need the axle. You can see the axle hopping inside the boot if you have a friend look at it while it’s in gear, ebrake on and clutch disengaged.
The piece in the pictures is located within the inner axle bearing cup, and holds the three bearings inside the cup. The inside bearing clamps around the spline, so when it broke andpopped open end it meant no more moving car.
