Would it be suitable in an area where summers are around (90-100F) and winters around (30-40F). Or would Redline MT-90 be better for the driving conditions of the summer?

I don't think oil selection for the tranny has anything to do with longevity as much as it does feel. If your tranny shifts well with OEM fluid, stick with it. The S2000 gear box is probably least notchy with OEM fluid, but SOME will grind with it when it heats up.

gernby, you much have over 200+ grinds now, have you taken it to a dealer? don't you think the dog teeth has been rounded off by now?

I was averaging 2~3 grinds per day in the 1st 7K miles. I did take it to the dealer, took the mechanic for a drive, and reproduced the grind 3 times for him. They wouldn't fix it. At about 7K miles, I adjusted my clutch pedal (to reduce the free play) and changed to GM Synchromesh. This reduced my grinds a LOT. I later switched to Redline MT-90, and my grinding was reduced to practically nothing. I estimate that I have over 300 grinds on my 2nd gear, but with MT-90, it does great. If my tranny is going to fail, I hope it does it in the next 11K miles, since I'm at 25K now.

That is odd that you can reproduce it and they wouldn't do anything. You are trying to fix it yourself with different fluids and adjusting the clutch but wouldn't another dealer do anything.

Total and absolute failure of the tranny would be the best thing..

Gernby, How do you adjust the clutch free play? I would love to do that on mine?
Thanks,
Svatne

The clutch pedal adjustments are documented in the Helm's manual. I have also posted about it in other threads. You should be able to find it by searching for "clutch free play adjustment".
