my lude has 22,000 miles on her and in mint condition literally not even funny.

Should be able to get $17K on the trade. Need another $19K (tax included) to bring the S2K home, assuming they sell it to you for MSRP.

They gave me 17500 trade in on my '99 prelude SH with 22k on it - this was in march.

She was immaculate as well, and had a changer.

Your lucky I guess.....I waited over a year to get my S2000 as the local dealer low-balled me so much on the trade I considered never buying a Honda again.
(Same dealer I bought the Prelude from, had it exclusively serviced there because they said it would be a major point when I traded in, etc.....all BS)
Bought from another dealer and kept the Prelude for the wife, but it has tainted my Honda love.

If you still have a loan outstanging on the prelude. Take the hit and trade it in. If you own it out right. Then try to sell it on your own or autotrader.

I have a 99 Type SH....trade in was at $16,800 as of March 2000. But I ended up selling it to a third party on autotrader.com for 17,300. But it took about 5 months. So, again if you are still paying on the car......you should trade it and take a hit. Instead of paying 5 more payments plus the headaches of scheduling for test drives.

Very good point. It hadn't even crossed my mind until you said that.
