That sucks sorry man, what did the cops say? Did you get a ticket for following too close or did she get one for failure to maintain lane? I think thats what the insurance company would go by to see who was at fault. GL
The cop was a total retard, he didn't even know what the left and right sides of the car were. He never asked me how fast I was going either. I don't have a police report yet.

Given the year of the car, a good chance it will be totalled. Now if there is frame damage, definitely totalled. Good luck getting everything resolved.

Sometimes driving a sports car really sucks

Anyway, I'm no insurance judge or whatever, but looks like a total loss to me. A 2002 is worth about 16K or so on Blue Book Value? The damage on that looks like it's gonna cost a lot of money.

Best of luck to you nevertheless

He's just a cop with a bad attitude and apparently not very smart, this isn't our first encounter with him, if he doesn't know left and right sides of a car then he's an idiot. I had to get mad at him to get him to understand what I was saying, but I apologized even though he just seemed like a big tard to me. 4 of my friends were at the scene before he showed up and they can vouch that he was rude right off the bat.

KBB is somewhere around $13k, I'm definitely going to push for it being totaled. You guys are welcome, I just made your cars more rare and more valuable, you can thank me with money haha.

You also raised our insurance rates.

But to defend you, its not always your fault if you hit someone in the rear. Assuming you were passing her on her left and she switched lanes without looking, the damage caused by her hitting you will be her fault.

Thats what happened basically.

It seems my car was worth $15,212 - $16,775 range. I only owe $14,700 so maybe I will come out ahead. Sucks that I have to take all my parts off now, will take a week to get all my stuff off of it.
