Torn up splitter AGAIN!
This is the second time my coastal metals splitter ripped my bumper off. Last time it was from a pothole this time it was my fault unfortunately i misread how much angle i needed to get out of a parking lot causing my splitter to catch a dip yanking my bumper off its clips. Good thing i did not replace some missing bolts on my bumper otherwise the damage might have been worse. So far after removing the mangled up splitter and chucking it in the dumpster, only a small crack and split underneath the oem lip remains.
Other than the short story I was wondering if the bolts underneath that were used to hold the splitter were important. I know that the shorter bolts were taken out and replaced with longer ones to fit the splitter but i was wondering how significant they were. Do those bolts hold the lip to the bumper? If they do is it necessary to replace them? I assume there are other bolts holding the lip to the bumper, correct me if i'm wrong.
PICS WOULD BE POSTED UP TOMORROW MORNING! i promise

If they are the same mounting locations as the stock front lip, I would probably replace them with the stock replacement bolts (M6 I think). Since you have a tendency of hitting pot holes, it may be a good idea to install all of them .
You could also use some double sided tape to hold it on with the bolts you have remaining.
