Top Speed of Each Gear

I just used the settings that were provided when you pick S2000 04+ and it put redline at 8000. It should be a little higher though right?

I thought the AP2 have bigger gear than the AP1. But it doesnt matter because they will never get there anyways due to limiting drag. hahahha.

i have noticed my car does about 54 in second and 74 in third, those are the going onto freeway gears i use. first does well over 30. looking at the tach is a better idea...redline.

its in the manual~ gear 1 can go up to about 96km

i can tell you for sure that 5th gear on an ap2 is 122 i have done it

Dude i think the gear calculator is alittle off it says Viper hits 291.2MPH Top speed

The gear calculator is correct. 6th gear is an overdrive

The bold faced portion is the operating range in each gear, assuming max effort. First is shown as 0-8000rpm and up to 36 mph, then the 1-2 shift in the AP2 drops you to 5300 rpm - mathematically. Second gear takes you to 56 mph, and then the 2-3 shift drops you to 5800 rpm or so, etc, etc..



FWIW, and before all those who know everything start screaming how their AP2 always stays in VTEC all the time, you need to also consider that the graph above assumes no clutch slip.
