a lot of people here have said that the S' top speed should be at least 155mph, some more than 160mph but according to Turnzero, my MY07 should only reach 151.1mph at 8000RPM,

i've tried it once, and got to 150mph with (i think, not sure, as i'm going toooooo fast) about 200rpms to go. did i basically maxed out my top end?

AP2 has a lower potential top speed than the AP1 based on gearing. But both max out at about 150mph due to aerodynamics with stock hp.

Theoretical top speed of an AP1 is about 165mph. With higher hp, some s2k owners can acheive that.

 

Also, the fuel cut for the AP2 is at about 8200.

If your speedo is right (and I'd bet it reads about 2-3 high), your 150.XX at 8000RPMs would make 153.75mph at 8200.

Reading 3.65mph high at 150mph is about 2 mph high on the freeway, so this all sounds accurate.

Funny....My ap2 slowly walks bolt on Ap1's on the freeway. Thought it would be the other way around being that the gears are shorter for the ap2 tranny..Not bashing here! I mean, I used to have an ap1 and it seemed killer on the freeway, but last night was my 4th victim. I don't remember even really having to touch 6th in the ap1, but the ap2 gets through 4th, 5th pretty easily and find myself shifting to 6th when racing. Having both models have been quite interesting to compare.
