Top Speed ?

If only I could find someone with more balls than I've got to test the top speed with the hard top. I wonder if the added weight will slow it down or if the added efficiency of air flow will speed it up.
Imagine getting the hard top instead of the supercharger!

Well, that of course, is a given

Auto/Moto speedo's almost invariably read 10% - 15% high at those kinds of speeds. Yes, the S2K too.
A low-cost GPS (or a radar gun ) will give you much more accurate speed readings at 100+ MPH.

Same as XXXRacing, 153.
I was driving on the identical stretch of road that I topped out my 99 Mustang GT, fairly level but ever so slight incline. Oh, and it was 147 in the GT. Both #s are bone stock, no K&Ns, etc.

I've reached 161, and have no sort of desire to do it again...it simply takes too long. Now 140, hell, I do that almost daily.
The car is capable of 172 on a glass smooth surface, with no wind, and bouncing off the limiter. No downhill needed.
