I like it and always use it.

I think its use is optional because I think the boot cover is optional in Japan.

I'm sorry, but what a bunch of wusses. Not only does it look better with it on, but it IS functional. It keeps dust from going on the inside of the top as well as the outside. I think some of you need more practice on putting it on and taking it off. It was kind of a hassle at first, but it became easier the more I did it. I can put it on in less 30 seconds and off less than that. Unless that's too much time for you. Do your car a favor and use it.

Ditto on everything you said. I use mine all the time, although recently I have not been using it alot b/c of all the rain we are having.

Dario

OK, I'll try it again but how do you keep the back from popping out while driving?

I never had the back pop out.

The boot was a royal pain the first couple of times but later became easier as things stretched out a bit.

Now it is no matter to take it on and off. Whenever we do extended drives we always bring it along. For errands, it stays in the garage.

Let it sit in the heat Ralper. In Phoenix, we have an abundance of it this time of year, so it works out well.

i tried it once and never tried again. most of my drives are only 10-15 minutes long so its not worth it for me. for very long drives, i will definately use it.

I've never used it. My S is my daily drive and when I park I MUST put the top up b-cuz of all these wonderfully honest people in SoCal. I had a rosary stolen from my rear view mirror once if that explains the type people down here.
