Thumbs up Top creasing on top of rear window?

I have a 2004 and i got it a few months ago...i noticed when i drop the top and when i close it again there is creasing on the top by the top of the rear window?

Is this normal? or is it somehow not folding the right way when it is going down?

thanks for any help.

Here are some pics of the creasing...

i also get this, and if i have the top down for a long time, it will look a lot worse than that.

mine gets pretty bad at the bottom left. like someone crinkled it into a ball then tried to straighten it out again. whatever...as long as it doesn't rip...

So is there anything i can do to minimize this creasing? It seems a little worse when the top is down for a while.

to minimize it, starch the entire top.

warning: don't starch the top without consulting a professional convertible top starcher.
