been on the forum a long time so I've seen ripped seats all the time with cars with and without seat locks.
Sorry, brother but here it comes...

You show me the threads where seats with Seat Locks have been ripped/slashed. Then the BULLSHIT flag comes down.

I've been around for a long time, too.

Weren't there stickers to put on the window that says I have seat locks or something, too? I've seen people rip the top and then rip the seats out of frustration that they couldn't take the seats.
I don't get your problem? These locks are to keep the seats from getting stolen, not to keep them from being slashed.

I've had the seat locks for years now. I also have a decal on the window that says "alarm" & "seat locks". It's a good piece of mind for the money.

Oh and yes, I did see a post or two (at the most) where people got their seats slashed along with their top. It sounded more like vandalism than attempted theft.

he's saying the trouble of vandalism is just as bad as the trouble of theft.

sometimes if you have seat locks a very disappointed thief may turn to vandalism which still causes you the pain of going through insurance, getting new seats, possible having your car totaled and that whole mess. yeah your seats are still there but they're just as useless if they're slashed.

other times you might just luck out with the deterrents.

Is there really a VERIFIED incident of somebody's seats slashed because of the locks? Sounds like a Bigfoot sighting - I might wanna believe it, but I ain't buying it.

Well, in any case w/o the locks, you'd have no seats.

i've heard of seats getting slashed if your car isn't easily stealable. if the thief is somehow foiled. it's not too much of a stretch i guess... i actually heard that a long time ago, before s2ks.

Well by that logic, why have alarms or cars that require keys to open the doors or start them. Let's not anger the people who are already going to damage our cars.

So from now on, park your car with the top down and the keys in the ignition.

That theory is flawed.
