Maybe it’s mentioned in the thread, but I couldn’t find it; have these been tested for shear strength? Seat bolts are subjected to a massive am out of shear strength in a crash, and I wouldn’t want anything that wasn’t up to OEM specs.

If you compare the Kodokan's vs. stock, the latter looks absolutely wimpy. The material used for the Kodakan is top notch.

I’m not saying they’re weak, but just thickness and how well made they may look is little indication of the actual strength of metals.

I got the part number from another thread and they work perfectly

THESE BOLTS ARE NOT SEAT LOCKS!!!

Do not use inferior bolts for mounting your seats.

The Kodokan Seat Locks have been designed and tested by McGard to be safe in the event of a major collision.

McGard is a multi-million dollar company and the largest manufacturer of locking bolts in the world - so I trust them - but you have to use the correct product.

The Kodokan Seat Locks are hardened and have a tapered head that makes it impossible for clamping tools to get a grip on them.

Yes, as posted above - McGard did extensive testing before allowing me to use Seat Locks in my ride. That was about 10 years ago.

Just think of the lawsuits that could happen if they didn't.

McGard is the biggest and the best.
