They should've made the cover similar to the one on the boxster.
This would have added to the price, made the car heavier and decreased the size of our already too small trunk.

I'll take the negatives over a half-ass attempt at a tonneau cover.

what the hell are you smoking

go buy a boxster

toosteely is exactly right, and the main thing here is weight. Did you forget this is a sports car?

You'd take the negatives for some lame cover. I think you bought the wrong car...

I don't bother with the cover anyways. I'm just a firm believer in "if you're going to do it, do it right". They shouldn't even bother making that tonneau cover. It's a joke. Much like the cupholders in our car. If you're going to make SQUARE shaped cupholders and put them right behind the shifter, why the hell bother? Just call it a storage place.

Believe me, if the Boxster S was the same price as the s2k, I would be driving that instead. Especially the new Boxster S.

The dealer can adjust the top stops to eliminate this problem.

On the MY00 this was a big problem when the car first came out. Just have the dealer fix it right.

My problem is that the snaps that attach behind head rests don't line up. I can hook either one, but not both. Once one is hooked you can't get your hand under the cover, and over the top well enough to force the second snap.

The whole things seems like kind of a waste of time unless you lived in an area that allowed you to leave the top down for days and days. I don't know anyplace with both the right weather and low vandalism rate for that.
