tonneau cover problem solved
My new 05 S....I love it. I like to put that stupid cover on when the top is down...I know I'm in the minority here....however the design is poor and the rear always pops out when driving and it looks like crap.
So I cut an old credit card in half...taped them to the pathetic plastic flaps on the rear underside of the cover....and now it never comes out...even after fast highway driving.
By the way...I am completely smitten by this car....and apparently so are a lot of other people....everyone looks at it....old, young, female, male...I mean I never thought it would attract this kind of attention.

I know on my '00, I had to have the top stops adjusted to get it to quit doing what you are experiencing.
Take it to the dealer and let them adjust the stops. It takes maybe 30 minutes to do.
What is causing the problem, is the top is not lowering down far enough, and with the vibrations caused byt the conv top hitting the boot, it pops the rear up.

Mine did that when I got it. In the colder months it doesn't go down as far. I found that if you push it down with your hands some more and help the fabric fold better, than it goes down further. There is actually something in either the manual or the PDI sheet about this problem. Now that it's warmer outside, my top goes all the way down with no problem and the cover never pops off.

A warning about these tabs. They can scratch the rear deck during installation of the cover. Before you clip the fasteners of the tonneau cover, the tabs have to rest over the rear lip which means the tab will come into contact with the rear deck. So I add an extra step when I put the cover on. I place two small towels on the deck before I put the tonneau over the top. So the tabs never come in contact with the body of the car.
BTW, I lowered the stops also so now it sits lower when the top is down. When it's lower it doesn't push against the tonneau cover so the tabs stay tucked in. I believe there's a TSB that shows how to lower the stops of the covertible top it requires a crowfoot wrench.

I've never used the cover in the past year i've had it, haven't tried it, still in the plastic wrapper, like mister two said, i'm sure it leaves a few scratches and i don't want any on my berlina cuz it will really show.
V9, the reason ur getting soo much attention is cuz ur car is black, i get alot of attention especially when it's clean
