Be sure to raise the seat a bit, thereby vastly improving his view from the otherwise low-slung S2000.

I haven't gone through this thread completely, but from the looks of it you may be able to attain some helpful information. Good luck. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=134950

I don't and would not recommend it, IMHO.

While intellectually, I feel a child would be very safe in a well secured and adjusted child seat in the S, I just don't feel comfortable with the idea. Just a few too many things to potentially go wrong I guess.

However, if it's your only option, I'd go child seat shopping for one that's is the best possible fit in the S.

My kid has rode in mine on a few occasions. I did go through the process of getting a passenger airbag disable switch from Honda to do it the right way. That took about 9 months of phone tag, $600 for the modification, and a 300-mile round-trip to the place that would install it.

I also got a Recaro child seat, that thing is built like a tank and fits the S2000 perfectly.

I do it all the time my 4 year old loves it. She is old enough and weighs enough for a boost seat but I still have her in a toddler seat with the over the shoulder harness. I can get the seat tight enough that I can shake the car with it. Put your knee in it and pull the belt as tight as you can. Edit: didn't realize this post was 14 years old. Go to target it'll be a little bit cheaper for the same protection. Plus you'll be able to take it back to the store if it doesn't work.

I can appreciate you wanting to take your little one for a ride. Being a Dad I must say that you should rethink taking any little kids in the S at any time. Unless you have a late model S you can't even shut off the airbag sensor. Plus it's just not that safe of a car for little kids for obvious reasons. My daughter was in Junior High before I took her for rides. I'm not trying to rain on your parade but give it some thought before you purchase a car seat.
