maybe you should just switch cars on the days when you need to take your kid for a drive?

first rule of fight club is don't talk about fight club....there are those that do this at what ever level of risk they think there is to their offsprings and don't talk about it so as not to get bombarded by people who are not walking in their respective shoes....and there are those that do this and talk about it on the forum only to repeatedly get bombarded by people who aren't in a position to make this kind of decision....

you do what's most comfortable to you. It is not illegal to have a toddler in the passenger seat of a two seater...even with an airbag without a cutoff. Although Honda's manual recommends against it , Honda's legal dept had to cover their xxx's as best they could on the matter.

Currently the California State Assembly is considering legislation that will prohibit all children from riding in the front seat of any vehicle. Said legislation will likely win approval and other states will likely follow suit, and for good reason. For it is indeed true that, as the S2000's Owner's Manual states ...accident statistics show that a child of any size or age is safer when they are properly restrained in the back seat of a vehichle.

I would love to do just that and that was the plan when we traded in her Lexus rx for the s2000 and I gave her my Infiniti.

However it shall not be.

She just cannot drive a manual trans.

I got her lessons with a driving instructor.

I had friends try and teach her.

I tried to teach her.

I let her drive my old S around before I traded it in. Can you say 75mph in fourth to 1st gear Glad I traded that one in!

My wife is a cell phone chatting, radio adjusting, yelling at kid, typical soccer mom type driver.

I want to trade in the S on a 300C SRT8, but I am upside 8300.00 at this point on it.

With my daughter starting school in Fall, I need to be able to drop her off and pick her up in the S.

Nice so what happens to all those people that drive older pickup trucks with no airbag shutoff?

Or even owners of new pickup trucks with a shutoff?

I would rather have my daughter in the front seat of the S, in a proper car seat then the backseat of some old shit box with a aluminum foil like structure.

Hey Bitsa, get off your high horse and stop playing mother goose of the forum. He is a grown man, it is his kid, and ultimately, his call on what he decides to do.

I'm happy that you ran out to your car, and typed a paragraph out of the owners manual for no reason whatsoever. Good waste of 5 minutes

Oh my god, really? I've got this crazy idea, but I think anybody is safer in the back seat of a car.
Also, statistics show that children are safer when they are not put in cars. People, please don't put your children in cars, leave them at home. Thanks.

You're right, people should be allowed to use drugs and alcohol during pregnancy; expose their children to second-hand smoke after their born; allow them to wander the streets; allow them to skip school for no good reason; ride in a roadster; etc., etc., etc.
Yeah, that's it, I'm on "high horse" and "playing mother goose." Oh please!

Oh, and, my S2000's manual is always here on my desk (read: at my finger tips); I type very quickly; and I did so for a very good reason.
