Default Toda and/or ACT PP users, Please post mileage!

Id like to get an information base, of mileage with or without troubles resulting from clutch of flywheel modifications on the S2000.

Actually, Im interested in any other clutch modifications too.

I have 13,000 miles on a Toda Flywheel, TSB clutch disk and ACT Pressure Plate... No Problems...
The disk remaind quiet for about 10,000 miles... Its now gotten louder, but not as loud as before the TSB disk was installed.

I have Comptech Flywheel, ACT PP and Honda -055 disk. I have had the PP for almost 20K miles with no problems. Flywheel and -055 disk were installed about 3K miles ago. So far so good.

Any more out there?

Reason Im asking is I want to be able to tell people that those mods do NOT generally cause total transmission failures.
My transmission failed 2000 miles after my install of the Toda FW and the ACT PP, well its more likely the
failure was the result of a re-build last year, rather than a clutch mod. Details in the tranny thread . . .

Only problems I could see from those would be a balance problem, or increased possibility for abuse.
Either way, 2000 miles is to soon for either.

I would sue them.

Toda Flywheel, over 20,000 kms of trouble free operation.

BTW, did your transmission fail after prolonged high speed driving? This is a known problem with earlier cars and, in some countries where high speed driving is pervasive, Honda replaced gearboxes with uprated models. In my case, twice.

Yes, very long sustained and high speeds! That paticular day was 4.8 hours
the days previous were around 10 hours each.

Well, well see what happens, but Im not done with this situation.

If you decide to pursue this, I can fax you a copy of the letter Honda sent me when they called my car to replace the gearbox. It's in Portuguese but you should be able to get an official translation if it comes to that.

BTW, we're talking about speeds in excess of 100MPH for longer than 1/2 hour.
