Are there comparable tires that will cost less than the so2's?

I have Dunlop SP Sports on the rear of my S2K. They hook up better than my OEM S-02s did. They even hook up decent in cold weather.

I have Kumho 712's and I like them.
They work ton's better in the wet, cost half
as much as the S02's, and have a wear rating
of 280(I think)

Great tires I've tried, but aren't modest in price by any means are Sumitomo's.

A Japanese spec tire that comes standard on some JDM cars but is also a great track tire.

Very good wear on these tires. . .for the money, I thought they ended up being a very good valued high performance tire with good life.

Ok, I'm sorry I had to add my .02 above. I know you were looking for info on a cheaper tire.

Also look at Nitto, Dunlop, and the ultimate cheap tire is the Road Rage brand made by Michelin? All these are available at Discount Tires.
