Default Tire Rotation

Does anyone know how to properly rotate the front tires. My outer wall is wearing a little more than the inner, which I think is normal, but I hear we can still rotate the fronts =if we remove them from the rims and switch them.

Does anyone know for sure what to do?

xviper made a post recently on this subject... i can't find it right now, but maybe someone else can point us to it...

regardless, i've done this, and it did allow me to milk a few more miles out of some fairly worn tires... in the future, i plan to do this sooner than i did this past time...

My local Honda dealer told me my tires needed to be rotated. They offered to rotate them from front to rear. I declined!

I thought that all 4 tires were directional tires, and thus cannot be rotated.

They cannot be rotated in the normal sense you would with a FWD sedan with all four tires the same size.

However, it's certainly possible to dismount the tires off the rims, and then remount them on the rims on the other side of the car. This causes the former inner edges to be out the outside, and vice versa.

So if you're running a lot of negative camber and the insides are nearly bald while the outsides still look good, this is a cheap alternative to purchasing new tires. (Or, you could just drive faster in the corners. )

Push down that skinny pedal on the right. My tires rotate pretty well with this method.

J/K. The above info is correct, you would have to dismount the tire to rotate it.
